Member payment lookup
Let members check their own pending payments and receipts from your public site.
Member payment lookup is a page on your public site where a member can check what they owe and what they have paid, without calling the committee. The member enters their phone number and date of birth; when both match their record in your register exactly, the page shows their pending payments and recent receipts.
What a member sees
- Pending payments
- Each subscription the member holds, with the monthly amount and what is outstanding, using the same figures as your dashboard.
- Promised amounts
- Anything the member promised during a collection and has not paid yet, with the fund, the day it was promised and the day it is expected by. It is listed separately from subscriptions, and counted into the total at the top.
- Recent receipts
- The receipt numbers, dates and amounts of receipts you have issued to the member. Each one can be downloaded or shared as a PDF copy.
- The household, for a family head
- A member who heads a family also sees the pending payments and receipts of everyone in that family, since the head usually settles them.
- Their cluster and its leaders
- When house clusters are enabled, the page also names the cluster the family belongs to and its leaders with their phone numbers, so the member knows who collects for their area.
The page never shows profile details such as address, occupation or family information. It is bookkeeping only: names, amounts, dates and receipt numbers.
Paying from the page
If you have saved a UPI ID (yours in Settings, or a fund committee's own on the fund), every line the member owes carries a Pay button. It opens a QR for exactly that amount, into the account that fund collects into, and the member can scan it or tap through to their UPI app. Without a UPI ID on file, nothing changes: the page shows what is owed and no Pay button appears.
After paying, the member taps I have paid and enters the UPI reference number their app showed them. That reaches you as a reported payment, not as money: nothing enters your books until you confirm it.
A report cannot be edited; how the money is booked is yours to decide when you confirm. A reference can only be reported once, so the same number sent twice cannot become two payments. While a report is waiting, the line on the member's page reads Reported instead of offering to pay again.
Turning it on
- Open Settings and find Member payment lookup under the Public page group.
- Switch it on and save. A My payments button takes the main slot in your public page header, with a "Check your payments" section further down; committee sign-in moves to the footer. If your public page is off, the welcome screen leads with the same button.
- Share the address /my-payments on your web address with members, for example in a WhatsApp message.
Who can use it
A member can use the lookup only when their record has a phone number and a full, exact date of birth. If you recorded only an age or an approximate year of birth, the lookup will not match them; update the member's date of birth in Members if they ask for access. Members marked inactive or removed from the register cannot be looked up.
