Members
Keep a register of everyone who contributes, and their monthly subscription.
The Members section is your masjid's register of everyone who contributes. For each member you keep their name and contact details, the amount they give each month, and a running picture of what they have paid and what they still owe.
Understanding subscriptions
A subscription is the amount a member has agreed to give each month. Each member can set their own amount, and a member can subscribe to more than one fund (for example a regular amount to the General fund and a separate amount to a Building fund).
Subscriptions are not charged automatically. InflowBooks does not move any money. The subscription is simply the expected amount, so the system can show you who has paid and who is behind.
Understanding Outstanding
Outstanding is the total a member owes. It goes up by their subscription each month and goes down when you record a payment.
- A positive Outstanding means the member is behind by that amount.
- A negative Outstanding means they have paid in advance.
- An Outstanding of zero means they are exactly up to date.
Members
Add member| Member | Subscription | This month |
|---|---|---|
| Ahmed Kunhi | ₹500 / mo | Outstanding |
| Bilal Ahsan | ₹1,000 / mo | Paid |
| Fatima Rahman | ₹300 / mo | Outstanding |
| Yusuf Marakkar | ₹750 / mo | Paid |
Adding a member
- Open Members from the menu and choose Add member.
- Enter their name. Phone and email are optional but worth adding.
- Set their monthly subscription amount and the fund it goes to.
- If they already owe money, enter that as the opening balance so their record starts out accurate.
- Save. The member now appears in the register, and will show as Outstanding next month if they have not paid.
The fields explained
- Name
- The member or family head you are recording. This is the only required field.
- Phone and email
- Optional, but useful for sending receipts and reminders later.
- Subscription
- The amount this member has agreed to give each month, towards a chosen fund.
- Fund
- Which fund the subscription counts towards, for example General or Building.
- Opening balance
- Any amount already owed when you add them. Enter what they were behind by, so the figures start out correct.
Editing and viewing a member
Select any member to open their page. There you can update their details or subscription, and see their full payment history. From the same page you can record a payment, add another subscription to a different fund, or mark past months as paid.
Profile details
Each member can also have optional profile details such as gender, date of birth, marital status and occupation. These are never required, but when you fill them in, the Statistics page can chart your community automatically.
Removing a member
Members can be removed when needed. Removal is reversible: the record is hidden rather than wiped, so an accidental deletion can be undone and your past payment history stays intact.
